A Minjung Art style of the 1980s that borrows from the Buddhist tradition of painted banners. These paintings were large banners designed to be put up at popular political rallies and demonstrations. The paintings are noteworthy for their provocative nature, as reflected in the bold colors that express the nature and purpose of the gatherings.
